Hey, my name is Soraya Saifi and I’m currently working as a climate protection manager in the north of Germany. Due to climate change all living beings face (i.a.) more extreme weather events where it is my responsibility to act in crisis situations and also prevent damages in advance.
I have always been interested in the environment and its development. In addition to this sustainability is also a private matter to me. Consequently I studied and graduated in geography (B.A.) with a focus on human geography. I gained basic knowledge in different subjects, for example geomorphology, urban, economic and social geography, especially their interactions, climatology and sustainability.
At present I’m studying global environment and sustainability (MSc) at the University of London. The interdisciplinary knowledge I gained through my experiences enables me to write comprehensible articles in this blog on a scientific basis. I hope every reader enjoys my content and is able to acquire some deeper knowledge about the planet we all have in common.
